I have to “confess” that Pastor Scott did not disappoint! I love the accent and love that he likes ours. More than that, I loved the message. I don’t know about you but I haven’t taken much of my leisure time this summer to contemplate. I plan to do it now and I have some great questions to ask myself. Pretty cool to have Jordan’s best man here leading worship with him. Makes sense to pick a guy that big to protect you! Thanks Gooby! Really cool that Jordan shouted down the devil during first service too! He was out-singing a wayward amplifier.
I noticed a lot of visitors this week. Summer must be in full swing. Pastor Todd said he met someone from Texas and from other Harvests. (Besides Glasgow!) I love that our folks greet people they don’t know. I am trying to do that and have met people that are going to make us their home. They might end up in my small group!
Just saying, by the way, last night was off the charts! Worship was great and hearing from our team was so good. I appreciated the comments from Pastor Scott and Jeannie to the parents of our team. They really did do us proud! The true effect of the trip was in the building of faith in them and in us so the results are still coming in. And now Pastor Scott has me thinking – when will Mission-2 happen?
I wish I could bottle Jeannie’s energy. She is also excited about Day Camp and so are a lot of helpers! It’s happening July 30 – August 3. Check out the video here!
