Barrie Pregnancy Resource Centre
After many months of planning, learning and preparing, Harvest was a key influence in the opening of the
Pregnancy Resource Centre
in 2006 and the Barrie PRC continues to be an outreach partner in
Harvest’s global ministries plan. The PRC is a Christian ministry
dedicated to serving the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual
needs of individuals at risk of or experiencing a pregnancy related
crisis by providing information, practical assistance and support.
Harvest member, Kathy Pedersen is the director of the PRC and leads a
team of trained staff and volunteers in reaching out to women and
families throughout our area offering free pregnancy testing and follow
up, and practical support in the areas of a care cupboard with clean,
gently used baby clothing, referrals to other local agencies and a 24
hour support line.
