On June 5, 2011 Pastor Todd presented the nine vision initiatives for Harvest Barrie for 2011 and beyond. Initiative # 3 was focused on building the local church in order to reach all of Barrie and Simcoe County – a population of about 250,000 people!

It is not possible, nor reasonable, to try to serve all these people out of one location. So our goal is to put a Harvest Bible Chapel campus within reasonable driving distance of every single person. The plan would be to have one church, one set of elders, but have multiple locations and multiple services. Once an area is identified there will be series of prayer meetings held in that area to determine if this is where God wants us to establish a campus. Should the answer be yes, then a core group will meet each Sunday evening to learn the “DNA” of  Harvest. Once a sizable number of people is attending, a campus will be established and a meeting location found.

Currently, Harvest is concentrating on the Collingwood and Wasaga Beach area – a population of 40,000 people. A small group has been meeting there for some time under the very strong leadership of Tim and Roxi Shaw. Prayer meetings started in the early summer and will continue through the fall.
