Jenna Wickens

Children’s Ministry Assistant

An adventure-seeker by nature, Jenna has been parasailing, bungee jumping, sky diving, and hang gliding, but her greatest thrill actually comes from knowing Jesus and making him known. Jenna is a practical joker who loves Jesus, her family, friends, kayaking, puns, mud runs, and spoken word…and long walks on the beach. She is the proud aunt of two amazing nieces who fill her life with delight.

Having grown up in a Jesus-loving family, Jenna knew that she was a sinner in need of a Saviour by the time she was 7. She was baptized at the church she grew up in when she was 15, and throughout her teen years served in a variety of ministries. Through difficult trials and circumstances, Jenna came to know and rely on God as her unchanging Rock.

Jenna was born in Ottawa, lived in Kirkland Lake for a short stint, and grew up in St. Catharines, where her family currently resides. She moved to Bradford in 2010 to join an organization called CrossTrainers as Youth Director. In 2018, Jenna joined the Harvest staff team as Children’s Ministry Assistant. Her prayer is that children would come to know Jesus at an early age so they can know and enjoy him for the length of their lives. Jenna is a graduate of Capernwray Bible School, Niagara College in Recreation and Leisure Services, and Brock University in Community Recreation.

Two passages that have directed Jenna’s life are James 1:17, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from from the Father of the Heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” And Joshua 1:8-9, “Do not let the book of the law depart from your mouth but meditate on it day and night. Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” By the grace of God, Jenna aspires to live with courage, generosity, and joy, encouraging others to live the adventure of knowing Jesus.
