In Luke 9:51-62, Jesus “set his face to go to Jerusalem.” The next chapters are the journey to that fateful week—when the days drew near for him to be taken up—that would end with his crucifixion, resurrection and ascension. Once he left Galilee, the road for Jesus and his followers would become increasingly difficult, but the Bible will remind us that as Christ-followers, the harder things get, the firmer our resolve should be. That’s what we see in Jesus, for sure.
